The Brevard Philharmonic is a 55 piece orchestra which generally performs five concerts at the Porter Center at Brevard College during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Both accomplished local musicians and professional musicians are playing members. In addition to the orchestra, the organization conducts a Music in the Schools program, which sponsors performances in local schools. a) To foster the development in the community of an appreciation for the performing arts by promoting and producing classical musical entertainment and instruction for the benefit of the public, in the public school system and elsewhere.
